EPL Match Day 6

I have given up predicting results in the EPL. All the teams that were “supposed” to win didn’t except Liverpool. Arsenal did what Arsenal does, bottle it right at the end, UTD v Chelsea was meh, and City are looking really ordinary right now.

Losers — Arsenal: Winter has come early for the Gunners! After all the big six dropped points, you would think Arsenal would take advantage to go 2nd in the table. But if you are an Arsenal fan you knew exactly what would happen. Leicester didn’t really play well to be fair but they knew exactly what they were doing and when Vardy came on late in the 2nd half, you knew, you just knew it would be him. Jamie Fucking Vardy. I think I hate him about as much as I hated Drogba back in the day. Arsenal crash down to 10th (right around where their play deserves if I am being honest) #FreeOzil ???

Chelsea v UTD: Someone said to me this was a game where the the 2 managers were afraid to be fired. The game sucked to be honest, and lacked any sort of quality. A lot of huffing and puffing going on. Both attacks are capable of scoring goals, and to be fair UTD tested Mendy a couple times. I kept thinking, wow, imagine if that was Kepa in goal LMAO. For Fat Frank, his defense kept a clean sheet which is good. For Ole, I don’t know if we learnt anything new about UTD. Did anyone catch McGuire wrestling Azpi to the ground? I mean that’s what VAR is for right? Just inept officiating SMH.

City look a bit shaky guys. I tipped them to win the title but they’ve really struggled to close out games. This isn’t your City of 2 years ago that would score 3 or 4 goals a game. They score 1 goal and then try to hold on. I am not used to seeing this from a Pep team. Debruyne coming back I am sure will help, but right now, you have to say City can get got. They have Aguero and Jesus out, but this is City, no one feels sorry for them with the kinda sqaud depth they got. FOH!!!

LiVarpool are back to winning ways. I think in the first half they still had a little PTSD from the VVD injury but once they shook that off, there was only ever going to be one winner. What Liverpool cant afford is a Sadio Mane injury. He does so much for that team it’s just unreal. HotTake; When he is on the field, IMO, his impact is more acutely felt than VVD’s. Just looking at the league right now, you have to have Liverpool as favorites to Repeat.

Special Mention: Everton — They lost and lost convincingly. I worry bout the team temperament as the got a 2nd player sent off in the last 2 games. Richarlison is so critical to how Everton play, and playing Iwobi out in his position turned out to be, well, uninspirational at best. The former Arsenal attacker had a SHOCKER. Arsenal’s best transfer dealing of last season was convincing Everton that Iwobi was worth 30 million pound. I back Everton to rebound though, Ancelotti just needs them to calm down.

Power Rankings

  1. Everton — they finally lost a game, are people starting to figure them out?
  2. Liverpool — The champions are back and looking back to normal.
  3. Aston Villa — also got their first loss, they will start to drop further down the table for me.
  4. Leicester — Jamie fucking Vardy. That’s all I have to say
  5. Sp*rs — Son and Kane. If they are on the pitch Sp*rs are in the game. They are on the rise. Did Bale play?
